Kulture Keepers by Mo is the UK's leading African heritage brand for children, built on a simple, powerful belief: every child of the African diaspora deserves to see themselves in a story, to know where they come from, and to stand tall in it. We exist to make African culture joyful, accessible and celebrated, in every home, every classroom, and every corner of the world.
Our Story
Kulture Keepers was born in Manchester, in a home where African stories were told at bedtime and heritage was a daily celebration. Our founder Mo, at just 4 years old, looked at the world of children's books and noticed something missing: a story that looked like her, sounded like her community, and celebrated the continent her family came from. So she wrote one. Mo and the Heart of Africa was conceived, inspired, and brought to life by Mo herself, making her one of the UK's youngest published authors. Her book follows five extraordinary child heroes, each representing a different region of Africa, on a journey of courage, pride, and discovery. It is the book Mo wished had existed when she was born. And now it does.
Our Vision
Our vision is simple: a world where every child of African heritage grows up proud of who they are and where they come from. We want Kulture Keepers to be the brand that makes African culture feel exciting, modern, and alive, not just in history lessons, but in bedtime stories, birthday gifts, and everyday moments. We are building more than a shop. We are building a movement.

Meet Our Founder
Mo is 4 years old. She lives in Manchester with her family. She loves stories, animals, bright colours, and Africa, a place she has learned about through her family's tales, traditions, and love. At an age when most children are learning to write their own name, Mo wrote a book. Not because someone told her to, but because she had a story to tell, and she believed it was worth telling. Mo and the Heart of Africa is her debut picture book, and it is just the beginning. Mo is proof that representation matters, that children's voices matter, and that the stories of Africa deserve to be heard in every language, in every country, by every child. She is not just our founder. She is our why.
